JAMES BROWN'S GOT
A BRAND NEW BAG OF CASH
The James Brown bond deal has been completed. As previously reported by LAUNCH Radio Networks, a secured bond offering connected to Brown's royalties from publishing, songwriting and record sales has been put together by David Pullman, the same financier who did similar deals for David Bowie, Ashford and Simpson and the Motown songwriting team Holland-Dozier-Holland. While no dollar amount was announced for the deal, LAUNCH Radio Networks has learned that it's the biggest one of its kind, topping the $55 million price tag on the Bowie Bonds.
